South Sudan Adventure Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Juba

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and refreshments.
In the afternoon, embark on a city tour of Juba, visiting the John Garang Mausoleum and other significant landmarks.

Day 2: Bor, Boat Ride, Dinka Cattle Camp

Depart from your hotel and travel to Bor.
In Bor, take a boat ride to a vast swamp for bird watching and interaction with local communities on an island.
Cross the Nile River to reach Lake State and visit the Dinka people, the tallest tribe in South Sudan.
After completing necessary formalities, proceed to a Dinka cattle camp.
Enjoy a stunning sunset over the cattle camp and capture photos of the Dinka’s evening activities.

Day 3: Dinka Tribe and Mundari Tribe

Wake up to a traditional breakfast and join the Dinka in their morning routine of interacting with cows.
Observe the milking process and witness the fascinating tradition of smearing the long horns of their cattle.
Depart for the Mundari tribe, agro-pastoralists known for their mobile lifestyle and keeping their cattle separate from their villages.
Spend the night in a Mundari village, experiencing their unique huts and traditional way of life.

Day 4: Mundari Tribe and Cattle Camp

Enjoy a morning meal and observe the Mundari people in their daily activities.
Break camp and travel to a cattle camp, arriving before the cows return from grazing.
Our chef will prepare lunch while you wait for the cattle.
Spend the evening and night with the Mundari in the cattle camp.

Day 5: Mundari Tribe and Lopit Tribe

After breakfast, witness the Mundari practice of washing their faces with cow urine (optional viewing). You might also have the opportunity to see them stimulate the cows for milk production (by chance only).
Depart from the Mundari and drive to the Lopit tribe, renowned for their unique culture and traditions within the mountainous regions with their cattle.

Day 6: Lopit Tribe and Mboya

Take a quick breakfast and join the Lopit tribe in a traditional dance showcasing their beautiful attire.
After the dance, depart for Mboya.

Day 7: Larim Village and Toposa Tribe

Greet the beautiful sunrise from the hills surrounding Larim village. Capture photos of the village’s huts adorned with traditional paintings and the intricate art and crafts within their households.
In the morning, witness women and young girls adorned in stunning attire and traditional body tattoos (scarification). Observe the Larim women’s dance.
Afterward, drive to the Toposa tribe in Kapoeta town. Enjoy lunch before continuing to a Toposa village. Upon arrival, savor the sunset views.

Day 8: Toposa Tribe and Torit

Relish a quick breakfast before joining the Toposa tribe in their traditional dance, where women adorn themselves with beads and red ash.
Depart directly for Torit, where you will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 9: Departure from Juba

Wake up refreshed and prepare for your final destination: Juba.
Arrive in Juba, have lunch, and then transfer to the airport. Here, we bid farewell with a heartfelt thank you for an unforgettable journey!
